On June 19, Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, responded to the spirit of the document as soon as possible by issuing the "Notice on Lifting the Traffic Restrictions on Urban Roads for Multipurpose Trucks (Pickups) and Light and Micro New Energy Trucks". Starting from June 19, 2019, the traffic restrictions on urban roads for multipurpose trucks (pickups) and light and micro trucks with new energy vehicle license plates will be lifted throughout the city. This means that multi-purpose trucks (pickup trucks) and light and micro trucks with new energy vehicle license plates will not need to apply for vehicle access records or permits in Jinan in the future.
In addition, expanding the range of original license plate numbers, establishing and improving the management mechanism and technical standards of the automobile modification industry, promoting the issuance of temporary driving license plates by automobile 4S stores, and realizing the online handling of the national annual review of ordinary freight vehicles have also brought convenience to pickup truck users in purchasing and using vehicles.
